Do you ever wonder what’s going on inside their head? Your pet is going around the house and is never calm. When you are outside, you can’t let your dog run around without a leash because you are scared that it might fight with another dog from your neighborhood. Or your dog is antisocial, and every bit of its body shakes when he is around other dogs.

As we, dogs can also suffer from anxiety, and we are there to guide them, train them, and make them feel better. But if that doesn’t help, some studies have shown that CBD can help your dog feel better, more relaxed, and social. It is safe, and there is nothing to worry about. There are many different CBD treats for dogs that can help your dog suffer from anxiety.

What is CBD?

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a compound of more than a hundred different chemicals found in the cannabis Sativa plant. It is mainly found in the marijuana plant, but its percentage is a lot bigger in the hemp plant. Many people connect CBD with THC, and even though THC is its far cousin, CBD’s effects are a lot different from THC.

THC has opioid effects, the effect of getting high when smoking weed. And CBD is the thing that will make you feel less anxious, help you with your muscle pain, or it can even help to cure some cancer symptoms.

CBD extracted from industrial hemp is legal in some states. However, medical marijuana is highly regulated even in states where it’s legal for recreational use.

If it is good for us, why can’t it be suitable for our pets?! CBD treats and CBD oils can also help dogs, cats, and other pets suffering from muscle pain after an injury, anxiety, and pets dealing with cancer. So taking a few drops for you and giving a few drops to your pet can help both of you to put an end to your pain or anxiety.

How to Help Your Dog with Anxiety?

Anxiety with dogs can show in many ways, from shivering or barking to whining and moaning. The anxiety shows in dogs who are afraid of staying home alone or are scared of certain things, like noise or other people that aren’t familiar to them.

How Does CBD Affect Pets?

There are no formal studies on how CBD affects our pets, but scientists are trying to determine how cannabidiol affects our pets’ nervous system. Even though there is no scientific proof on how CBD affects our pets, owners have started using CBD pet treats now more frequently. And the reported results are that CBD can be used on our pets to treat pain, particularly neuropathic pain, and it can also help control seizures.

A lot of research says that CBD helps our pets with anti-inflammatory properties, that it can also be used as an appetite stimulant, and that CBD has an anti-anxiety impact on pets. Still, there is no concludable data for this kind of use.

Which CBD Products Can Your Pet Use?

As CBD products’ use on pets is getting more and more popular, there are plenty of options to choose from on the market. CBD products for pets are now available as pet treats and CBD oil. The first thing that needs to be done when selecting the right product for your pet is consulting with your veterinarian and making sure that the chosen product has no THC traces (tetrahydrocannabinol), which can be toxic for animals.

When it comes to choosing the right CBD oil, choosing a product that is high in quality is essential. It is necessary to always look for organic CBD oil and not shop based on its price. When CBD oils are cheap, they usually contain pesticides or heavy metals. Making sure to get the right product is important so that you will not harm the pet.

Buying CBD treats are also an option, but it is recommended to go for the CBD oils rather than for the treats, as in that case, you will be able to control the dosage drop by drop.

Conclusion

There you have it. It is simple. CBD can help a lot in a lot of different fields. You just have to be careful with the dosage, as if you give your dog a bit too much, it can have some side effects. Make sure to read the label and consult the veterinarian for help if you don’t know how many treats or drops of CBD to give to your pet.
