The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society (GAHS) understands the distress of losing a beloved pet. They provide shelter to stray dogs and cats brought in by concerned citizens, police officers, or animal control officers from various municipalities including Auburn, Canton, Greene, Hebron (cats only), Leeds, Lewiston, Livermore, Minot, New Gloucester, Turner, Rumford, and Wales.

If you suspect that your pet may have been brought to the GAHS as a stray, it’s important to act swiftly. You can reach them at 207-783-2311 to leave a detailed message or send an email to [email protected]. Alternatively, you can fill out a form with relevant information about your lost pet.
